The Ceylon Pencil Company (CPC) was established in 1959 under the vision and guidance of its founder and late Chairman, D. S. Madanayake. Having made its first forays into the stationery business as a manufacturer of pencils, a combination of entrepreneurial vision, innovation and fast-growing reputation for undisputed quality saw the company expand its flagship Atlas brand further into the market.
Today, the Atlas brand includes over 450 SKUs and includes virtually all stationery products including books, pens, colour products, play clay, calculators, etc. It is the undisputed leader in the school and office stationery sector, fulfilling its product vision of providing 'tools for success'.

CPC's production facilities occupy over 100,000 sq. ft. within easy access of the country's main airport and seaport and are serviced by high-tech offices and modern warehouse facilities, supported by a team of over 1,500 employees. The cutting-edge production facilities are ISO 9001 certified and employ state-of-the-art technology, adding sophistry, efficiency and the highest levels of quality to our products.
